Elf Name Generator
Flowing, vowel-rich names with optional surnames. Choose an elf kindred to set the tone.
When to use it
Use this generator for elves in fantasy fiction, campaigns and games. The names are vowel-rich and melodic, built to sound graceful and long-lived, with an optional surname such as Moonwhisper or Silverleaf for full introductions. It suits player characters, nobles, wardens and wanderers across high-fantasy, woodland and coastal settings. Because the phonology is deliberately distinct from the dwarf and dragon generators, elf names keep their own identity even when several fantasy peoples appear in the same scene.
How to use it
Choose a Kindred to set the tone — High Elf for courtly, ancient elves, Wood Elf for forest rangers and wardens, Sea Elf for coastal, tide-bound elves, or Any to blend them. The Surname control decides whether each name comes with a family name, stands alone, or mixes both. Generate a batch of eight, then Generate again for more. The generator remembers what it has already shown you this visit and prioritises unseen names, so repeated clicks keep producing fresh results until the matching pool is genuinely exhausted.
